Experimental Investigation of DFIG-based Wind Energy Conversion System Using Fuzzy Logic Control

In this paper, an experimental study of a Wind Energy Conversion System (WECS) is performed. A test bench with power 1.5 kW setup. The system consists Doubly-Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) and wind emulator based on DC motor associated Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) control. proposed driven by four quadrants DC/DC converter to produce real turbine behavior. aim work improve the DIFG performances using fuzzy logic-based intelligent controller. This control technic designed monitor stator reactive active powers. can be achieved DFIG rotor side (RSC) field-oriented setup uses dSPACE DS1104 device, MATLAB/Simulink software ControlDesk interface. paper shows that, desired amount powers has been independently controlled implementation successfully verified effectiveness scheme FLC strategy.
